Hyundai CEO says green is good and greed is bad

Wether this guy is being real or not it’s nice too see this as at least a symbol of change. what i mean is that even if he is just saying all this to make hyundai look good it still means that this is what the public wants to hear and that there is enough of the public that want this kind of thinking to come true that, at least at some level, it is causing change.

Is the goal to make money or to make cars, i know that both things need to happen but it seems that for many companies this bias is much too far on money. the profit margin exponentially increases with the price of the car. ie: a honda civic sedan SI costs only ~$1,000/car more to create from sketch to street the the honda civic sedan DX but the MSRP increases by $10,000. this is pure robbery, it is also our fault for buying it, but we’ve been educated our whole lives that this is ok, this is how the world works, that this is capitalism….
well… pure capitalism has failed us, just as pure communism failed. extremes always fail, try socialism or at least a more socialist version of capitalism…
you gotta have moderation

This looks like a sweet little ride, remnants of the Mazda 3,wagon or Subaru. But it’s a Hyundai, so that makes it a lesser vehicle. N’est ce pas?
In your comments, you are characterizing Canada as having the best system, and you’re right of course.Just the right amount of capitalism combinrd with the right amount of socialism. So when are you ordering your Hyundai i30?

Haha I dunno about canada being the best, I look more to certain countries in europe, france, norway, sweden… ect. Canada is doing ok, the Canada ideal i have in my mind as a kid is the one I love, but we are drifting from the canada we grew up with and more and more privatized systems are being introduced, altho this may be more so out west.

as for the car, hyundai is becoming a real adversary, their reliability is coming up to par with the best in the industry, and the interior quality on the upper end models is better in some cases then the japanese automakers but not up to the germans (altho i think the germans are a bit weak on the reliability).

I posted this i30 because they were all over israel and i thought they looked pretty darn good, altho my favorite car in israel was the mazda 2 in bright green haha
