that’s not a small car!

compared to what? I know where your coming from but every other v8 powered car is larger or heavier, these mustangs were only 3400lbs, about the same as the current 350z, and less then the M3 of that year.
the number of HP/lbs/dollar can’t be beat, and used mustangs are dirt cheap. if you wanna build a project car and were willing to drop $4k on an ae86 you’d be ignorant not to at least consider a 91 5.0L lx notchback.
no it’s not a compact, but is small for a car with soo much muscle.
